Just three points separated the top three finishers in this years contest, with Dave Cockerill in P2, followed by Martin Wilson P3.
The event was held in beautiful sunshine with an awkward westerly sometimes northwesterly and sometimes south westerly breeze to keep all the helmsmen of the A rigged one metres on their toes.
Some decent gusts contriving to make the starts interesting and press the boats to their limits making for a challenging but very enjoyable event which was masterfully managed by Johnathan Clark and his team given the challenges of course setting under these conditions.
Of the Dozen boats that started, the attrition rate (in percentage terms) was akin to that of the Spanish Armada, with only six surviving the conditions to complete the 10 races.
