Steve Cockerill held the flag high for ERS at the nationals, finishing P23 at his first attempt. Seen here (27) in race one in close company of Peter Stollery 39 and Craig Richards 112, each of whom are past national champions, Peter also being past world champion.
It has to be said that congratulations need to go to all the ERS entrants: Steve Cockerill 27, Martin Wilson Sail No 40, Malcolm Stewart 127, Dave Cockerill 185 and Hugh Watson 107 for having the courage to compete against a class field. That's daunting enough, and to do so for three days is to be respected.
Saturday was Sunny with a lovely but shifty breeze and watching Steve finish p3 in the first race behind Craig and Brad Gibson sailing his trick looking new boat was very impressive.
