• Wash regularly

• Once a year at least wash out inside (use a weak solution of bi-carb* and distilled water), rinse thoroughly.  Source: Sailboat RC

• Transmitter switches - hard to get to so one way to treat from experience is to liberally apply a good quality all in one switch cleaner and lubricant from the outside, leaving the TX on its back for the product to find its way into the switch contacts. A day or three usually is sufficient with re-treatment in between.

 How does this work?  The aerosol consists of

a evaporative carrier (ethanol or similar) base

which transports the cleaning solvents surface protection agent and lubricant. 

As the carrier evaporates its leaves behind a

clean surface on which the protectors and

lubricants remain.
