Ten boats came to sail, but we had between eight and five boats on the start line.  John Galyer arrived but went home with electrical problems. Others dropped out after rain or frustration set in, including Roy O'Donnell with suspected transmitter rain ingress.  While Andy Gray joined the races at Race 4!

A number of us discovered that we were grounding at the far end of the line near Mark A  resulting in some frustratingly bad starts.  Keeping to the port half of the line was the order of the day.

With the variable easterly wind a figure of eight course was set by RO Simon Dwyer giving us two windward legs per lap.

The first three places were largely dominated by Dave and Steve Cockerill and David C-J with Dave winning the day and the FIDdlestick Trophy with five wins, followed by Steve then David C-J.

Peter Tier, who kindly presented the FID for the FIDdlestick Trophy, came to present the Trophy to the winner Dave Cockerill in the rain!  Thank you Peter and thanks must also go to Malcolm Appleton for arranging the making of the base and engraving for the trophy.

Many thanks also to Simon Dwyer for managing the racing as Race Officer.
